Milo Smith is a filmmaker and visual artist whose work explores the invisible connections between strangers in cities. Based in Denver, he has spent his career in film finding the human moments that exist between the frames — the glances, the near misses, the quiet recognitions.
SAME SKY is his first fine art NFT universe, and his most personal project. Set in New York City, it's an eight-character, 200-piece collection built around eight women who live there across eight decades of life. They are strangers. They share the same city, the same sky, and everything they will never know they have in common.
The universe unfolds across three acts — Act I follows each woman individually across 25 pieces and four seasons. Act II places them in the same frames for the first time, as quiet passers in each other's lives. Act III brings them together.
The project is rendered entirely in Pixar-quality 3D animation, each piece a 1/1 edition — 200 unique moments across one city, eight lives, and one year.
